How long are the video intro segments on the Movie Night - Custom Edition DVD?

There are several segments that make up the intro video that is played when you insert the Movie Night - Custom Edition DVD. Each has a chapter stop to that you can skip over any segments you wish at any time. The intro video segments occur in the following sequence and have the indicated approximate running times:

• Intro video with your personalized message                                                    (e.g., Wagner Family Theater): ~ 16 seconds
• Dream home theater video sequence: ~37 seconds
• Concession Stand animation ~30 seconds
• Randomly selected trivia: 10 minutes
• Turn off your cell phones/pagers video: ~5 seconds
• Feature presentation (filmstrip in space) video: ~ 28 seconds

What are the differences between the Movie Night Custom Edition, the Movie Night Custom Edition Megaplex and the Movie Night Custom Edition Megaplex Ultra?

On the Movie Night Custom Edition, you pick one of our visual styles and we customize your disc with your theater name using that style.  For the Movie Night Custom Edition Megaplex,  you get to choose 3 of our visual styles.  We customize each with your theater name and include them on your DVD.  When you play the DVD, it will randomly select one of these custom videos to play each time for the intro video (along with the rest of the included content).  The Movie Night Custom Edition Megaplex Ultra gives you all of our visual styles on the disc. There's no need to choose because you get them all, each personalized with your theater name.  Again, the DVD will pick one at random each time you play it.  For both the Megaplex and Megaplex Ultra products, all the custom intro videos are also directly available for playback from the DVD menu.

How can I skip certain parts of the Movie Night DVD?

All segments of our DVD have chapter stops so you can just hit the forward skip button on your remote to jump over the segments you wish.

The random trivia only allows me to skip each page, not the entire trivia sequence. How can I skip all the intro trivia sequence without having to skip each individual page?

To skip the entire trivia segment in the intro sequence, simply press the SELECT button on your remote any time during the "10 Minutes to Showtime" concession stand video that runs immediately before the trivia section. If you press SELECT during this video, the disc will skip over the trivia entirely for that one playing and move on to the next video segment. Note, some DVD remotes refer to the SELECT button as the "ENTER" or "OK" button.

My home theater supports DTS. Is there any way CinemaWise can make my DVD default to DTS upon startup so I don't have to select DTS from the menu every time?

This is a common request. We will be happy to default your DVD to DTS. You may select DTS as the default audio track on the Movie Night - Custom Edition order page.

Does the disk play the intro video automatically or does the DVD menu play first?

Our Movie Night DVDs play automatically so the menu isn't displayed until you want it to be displayed.

Do I need to have a $250,000 custom home theater installation to buy a Movie Night DVD?

Not at all. We believe Movie Night DVDs work well for all home theaters, from the entry-level, budget installation to the full-blown cinemaplex in your house. It's all about bringing the magic of going to the movies home.

That being said, we will be happy to accept invitations for the CinemaWise Productions staff to see some of those $250,000 systems...

I've seen DVDs like this that cost $200 or more. How can you charge only $49.95 for a customized DVD? Is it not as good as those other products?

We do not sacrifice any quality to offer these custom products at such a low price. In fact, the feedback from our customers that have seen these other, more expensive products is that Movie Night is much better in virtually every way. Not only do we have excellent video quality but we are also the only product to offer both Dolby Digital AND DTS 5.1 on our discs. We have spent a lot of time optimizing the production process (it's expensive to make custom DVDs!) so that we have minimum overhead and can offer the best price around for this kind of product. We feel we are charging a fair price for the materials and work needed to produce a DVD customized for individual home theater enthusiasts. Unlike Hollywood movie DVDs, there is no mass production run possible; each Movie Night DVD is authored and burned to order.

You can access the audio setup menu from the Main Menu. You can reach the Main Menu by pressing either the Menu or Title button on your DVD player's remote control. Select the Audio Setup item from the menu and you may then select either Dolby Digital or DTS 5.1 audio. By default Dolby Digital is enabled.

Will Movie Night DVD's work in my home DVD-Video player?

All Movie Night DVDs are burned onto high-quality DVD-R media in our manufacturing facility. We do our best to test our product on as many DVD players as possible but we can not guarantee all players will work. Most new home DVD-Video players and all computer DVD-ROM drives, however, will work just fine with our DVDs. Please consult our list of supported home DVD players to see if yours is there. If your player is not listed there but it is a recent model DVD player, it is likely yours will work as well. Please let us know if you try your Movie Night DVD on a player that is not listed on our list and it works. We will update our list and give you credit for finding it first.

Are Movie Night DVD's available for regions besides Region 1?

At this time, Movie Night DVD's are only sold in North America and are specifically authored for Region 1. If there is demand, however, we will certainly consider adding product lines for other regions. Please send us your requests and let us know what region code you use if you are interested. How long will it take to receive my Movie Night DVD?

If you have purchased a Movie Night - Basic Edition DVD, your order will normally ship within 24 hours. If you have purchased a Movie Night - Custom Edition DVD, due to the custom production work we need to perform to add your name to the disc, your order will normally ship within 24-48 hours. When we ship your package, we will send you an email letting you know and with shipment tracking information, if available. Naturally, how long it will take for the package to arrive at your home once it has shipped will depend on the shipping method you choose.
